O. Abe, +412 more
- 14 May 2005 -
TL;DR: The 10-year and 15-year effects of various systemic adjuvant therapies on breast cancer recurrence and survival are reported and it is found that the cumulative reduction in mortality is more than twice as big at 15 years as at 5 years after diagnosis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Superior Survival With Capecitabine Plus Docetaxel Combination Therapy in Anthracycline-Pretreated Patients With Advanced Breast Cancer: Phase III Trial Results

TL;DR: The significantly superior TTP and survival achieved with the addition of capecitabine to docetaxel 75 mg/m(2), with the manageable toxicity profile, indicate that this combination provides clear benefits over single-agent docetAXel 100 mg/ m(2).
Journal ArticleDOI

Iniparib plus Chemotherapy in Metastatic Triple-Negative Breast Cancer

TL;DR: The addition of iniparib to chemotherapy improved the clinical benefit and survival of patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer without significantly increased toxic effects.
Journal ArticleDOI

Extending Survival with Chemotherapy in Metastatic Breast Cancer

TL;DR: The role of the taxanes, antimetabolites, and biologics in extending survival in MBC is discussed and has demonstrated great potential for enhancing the effects of chemotherapy and producing meaningful survival improvements.
