Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical behaviour of CO layers formed by solution dosing at open circuit on Pt(111). Voltammetric determination of CO coverages at full hydrogen adsorption blocking in various acid media

TL;DR: In this article, the double-layer correction of CO on Pt(111 was investigated in the presence of hydrogen adsorption sites in a cyclic voltammetry system with the lowest amount of surface defects.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermodynamic studies of anion adsorption at the Pt(111) electrode surface in sulfuric acid solutions

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors employed the thermodynamics of the perfectly polarized electrode to analyze the total charge densities for a Pt(111) electrode in solutions of H 2 SO 4 with an excess of an inert electrolyte (0.1 M HClO 4 ).
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of the potentials of zero total charge of Pt(100) stepped surfaces in the [011̄] zone. Effect of the step density and anion adsorption

TL;DR: In this paper, the electrochemical behavior of Pt(S)[ n (100)×(111)] electrodes was examined in perchloric acid solutions in the absence and in the presence of sodium acetate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intrinsic Activity and Poisoning Rate for HCOOH Oxidation at Pt(100) and Vicinal Surfaces Containing Monoatomic (111) Steps

TL;DR: Pulsed voltammetry is used to study formic acid oxidation on Pt(2n-1, 1,1,1) surfaces and determine the effects of the size of the terrace and the step density, which suggests that step and terrace sites have a similar activity for this reaction.
