Journal ArticleDOI
The activity of ALD-prepared PtCo catalysts for ethanol oxidation in alkaline media
Annukka Santasalo-Aarnio,Emma Sairanen,Rosa M. Arán-Ais,Marta C. Figueiredo,Jiang Hua,Juan M. Feliu,Juha Lehtonen,Reetta Karinen,Tanja Kallio +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, an atomic layer deposition (ALD) method was applied to prepare Pt, PtCo, and PtCoPt nanoparticle catalysts on carbon support for ethanol oxidation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Two-Dimensional Effects on the in Situ Infrared Spectra of CO Adsorbed at Palladium-Covered Pt(111) Electrode Surfaces
TL;DR: In this article, the in situ infrared spectra obtained for CO-saturated palladium layers deposited on Pt(111) and several vicinal surfaces are analyzed by correlating the observed C−O stretching bands with the cyclic voltammogram recorded for the corresponding surface before CO dosing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of (1 1 1) surface tailored Pt nanoparticles by electrochemistry and X-ray powder diffraction
Kenneth R. Beyerlein,Kenneth R. Beyerlein,José Solla-Gullón,Enrique Herrero,E. Garnier,E. Garnier,F. Pailloux,Matteo Leoni,Paolo Scardi,Robert L. Snyder,Antonio Aldaz,Juan M. Feliu +11 more
TL;DR: Debye Function Analysis (DFA) and Whole Powder Pattern Modelling (WPPM) of the measured X-ray diffraction pattern were carried out to obtain statistical information on the particle size and shape present in the sample.
Journal ArticleDOI
The role of formic acid/formate equilibria in the oxidation of formic acid on Pt (111)
TL;DR: In this article, the authors have been financially supported by the Ministerio de Economia, Industria y Competitividad through the project CTQ2016-76221-P. CBR also thanks his Postdoctoral fellowship to Generalitat Valenciana (APOSTD/2017/010).
Journal ArticleDOI
Ethylene adsorption and oxidation on Pt(h k l) in acidic media
TL;DR: In this article, a potential dependent equilibrium for transformation between two different adsorption configurations of adsorbed vinylidene, μ 3 -η 2 -C CH 2 and μ-CCH 2, has been observed.
