Glycerol electrooxidation on Pd modified Au surfaces in alkaline media: Effect of the deposition method.

TL;DR: The catalytic effect of Pd on gold electrodes for glycerol oxidation is evaluated for Pd-Au surfaces prepared using three different methods: irreversible adsorption of palladium by a simple immersion of a gold electrode in palladium solution, the deposition of Palladium on the gold substrate by a step potential from 1 to 0.75 V, and the forced deposition of gold electrode with the help of a reducing hydrogen atmosphere.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coherent Bragg imaging of 60 nm Au nanoparticles under electrochemical control at the NanoMAX beamline

TL;DR: Coherent imaging in the Bragg geometry of nanoparticles inside an electrochemical cell is presented and its application in nanofiltration and liquid chromatography is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of the entropy of formation of the Pt(111)∣ perchloric acid solution interface. Estimation of the entropy of adsorbed hydrogen and OH species

TL;DR: In this paper, the entropy of formation of the interface between a Pt(111) electrode and a 0.1-M HClO4 solution is calculated from the temperature dependence of total charge vs potential curves following a thermodynamic analysis based on the electrocapillary equation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Acetonitrile Adsorption on Pt Single-Crystal Electrodes and Its Effect on Oxygen Reduction Reaction in Acidic and Alkaline Aqueous Solutions

TL;DR: In this article, the authors acknowledge MINECO, the award of a predoctoral grant (BES-2014-068176, project CTQ2013-44803-P) and a student stay grant (EEBB-I-16-11656).
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical features of Pt(S)[n(110) × (100)] surfaces in acidic media

TL;DR: In this article, the dependence of the pztc with the step density and the strength of the anion adsorption has been analyzed for a series of electrodes that contain (110) terraces.
