TL;DR: In this paper, the mass density, Omega_M, and cosmological-constant energy density of the universe were measured using the analysis of 42 Type Ia supernovae discovered by the Supernova Cosmology project.

M. Newberg,Alexei V. Filippenko,Thomas Matheson,Michael A. Dopita,Warrick J. Couch +33 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a light-curve width-corrected magnitudes as a function of redshift of distant (z = 0.35-0.46) supernovae to obtain a global measurement of the mass density.
Journal ArticleDOI
A long hard look at MCG–6-30-15 with XMM-Newton
Andrew C. Fabian,Simon Vaughan,K. Nandra,Kazushi Iwasawa,David R. Ballantyne,Julia C. Lee,A. De Rosa,Adrian K. Turner,Andrew J. Young +8 more
TL;DR: The first results from a 325-ks observation of the Seyfert 1 galaxy MCG-6-30-15 with XMM-Newton and BeppoSAX were reported in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
Accretion disk winds as the jet suppression mechanism in the microquasar GRS 1915+105
Joseph Neilsen,Julia C. Lee +1 more
TL;DR: It is argued that the broad emission line arises when the jet illuminates the inner accretion disk, and it is shown that the absorption lines originate when the powerful radiation field around the black hole drives a hot wind off the accretion disks.
