TL;DR: The Centaur (10199) Chariklo has the first rings system discovered around a small object and was first observed using stellar occultation in 2013 as discussed by the authors, which allows the determination of sizes and shapes with kilometre accuracy and obtain characteristics of the occulting object and its vicinity.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used observations from the Dark Energy Survey (DES) from November 2012 until February 2016, amounting to 4292847 CCD frames, and recovered a total of 202 TNOs and Centaurs, 63 of which have been discovered by the DES collaboration until the date of this writing.

TL;DR: PreCam as discussed by the authors is a precursor observational campaign supporting the Dark Energy Survey (DES), which produces a photometric and astrometric catalog of nearly a hundred thousand standard stars within the DES footprint, while the PreCam instrument also serves as a prototype testbed for the DECam.
