Snape,Richard Tomlinson,Marc Verghote,Andre Vertruyen,Marie Wheeler +77 more
TL;DR: IIV4 prevented influenza A and B in children aged 6-35 months despite high levels of vaccine mismatch, and vaccine efficacy was highest against moderate-to-severe disease, which is the most clinically important endpoint associated with greatest burden.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immunogenicity and Safety of an AS03-Adjuvanted H7N9 Pandemic Influenza Vaccine in a Randomized Trial in Healthy Adults
Anuradha Madan,Nathan Segall,Murdo Ferguson,Louise Frenette,Robin Kroll,Damien Friel,Jyoti Soni,Ping Li,Bruce L. Innis,Anne Schuind +9 more
TL;DR: Two doses of AS03-adjuvanted H7N9 vaccine were well tolerated and induced a robust antibody response at antigen-sparing doses in healthy adults and met regulatory acceptance criteria.
Journal ArticleDOI
Time to Change Dosing of Inactivated Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine in Young Children: Evidence From a Phase III, Randomized, Controlled Trial
Varsha K. Jain,Joseph B. Domachowske,Long Wang,Opokua Ofori-Anyinam,Miguel Angel Rodríguez-Weber,Michael Leonardi,Nicola P. Klein,Gary Schlichter,Robert Jeanfreau,Byron L. Haney,Laurence Chu,Jo Ann S. Harris,Kwabena O. Sarpong,Amanda C. Micucio,Jyoti Soni,Vijayalakshmi Chandrasekaran,Ping Li,Bruce L. Innis +17 more
TL;DR: Double-dose IIV4 may improve protection against influenza B in some young children and simplifies annual influenza vaccination by allowing the same vaccine dose to be used for all eligible children and adults.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine Prevents Illness and Reduces Healthcare Utilization Across Diverse Geographic Regions During Five Influenza Seasons: A Randomized Clinical Trial.
Ghassan Dbaibo,Arshad Amanullah,Carine Claeys,Allen Izu,Varsha K. Jain,Pope Kosalaraksa,Luis Rivera,Jyoti Soni,Emad Yanni,Khalequ Zaman,Beatriz Acosta,Miguel Ariza,Maria L. Innis +40 more
TL;DR: This research presents a novel probabilistic approach that allows us to assess the importance of knowing the carrier and removal status of canine coronavirus as a source of infection for other animals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical Presentation of Influenza in Children 6 to 35 Months of Age: Findings From a Randomized Clinical Trial of Inactivated Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine.
Jasur Danier,Luis Rivera,Carine Claeys,Ghassan Dbaibo,Varsha K. Jain,Pope Kosalaraksa,Wayne Woo,Emad Yanni,Khalequ Zaman,Beatriz Acosta,Arshad Amanullah,Miguel Ariza,Maria L. Innis +40 more
TL;DR: In addition to preventing influenza in 50% of participants, IIV4 attenuated illness severity and disease burden in children who had a breakthrough influenza episode despite vaccination.
