Journal ArticleDOI

Ordered magnetic nanostructures: fabrication and properties

TL;DR: The fabrication methods and physical properties of ordered magnetic nanostructures with dimensions on the submicron to nanometer scale are reviewed in this article, where various types of nanofabrication techniques are described, and their capabilities and limitations in achieving magnetic nano-structures are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Large Magnetoresistance of Electrodeposited Single-Crystal Bismuth Thin Films

TL;DR: Single-crystal bismuth thin films 1 to 20 micrometers thick were fabricated by electrodeposition and suitable annealing, and clean Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations were observed, indicative of the high quality of these films.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chiral Majorana edge state in a quantum anomalous Hall insulator-superconductor structure

TL;DR: In this article, a collection of Majorana fermions living in a one-dimensional transport channel at the boundary of a superconducting quantum anomalous Hall insulator thin film is demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Skyrmions in magnetic multilayers

TL;DR: In this article, the fundamental topological physics underlying these chiral spin textures, the key factors for materials optimization, and current developments and future challenges are discussed, and a few promising directions that will advance the development of skyrmion based spintronics will be highlighted.
