Moderate alcohol intake during pregnancy and risk of fetal death

TL;DR: Even low amounts of alcohol consumption during early pregnancy increased the risk of spontaneous abortion substantially and the results indicate that the fetus is particularly susceptible to alcohol exposure early in pregnancy.

TL;DR: Binge drinking three or more times during pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of stillbirth, but neither frequency nor timing of binge drinking was associated with the risk of spontaneous abortion in clinically recognized pregnancies.
