Pupil decentration and iris tilting detected by Orbscan: anatomic variations among healthy subjects and influence on outcomes of laser refractive surgeries.
Naoko Asano-Kato,Ikuko Toda,Chikako Sakai,Yoshiko Hori-Komai,Yoji Takano,Murat Dogru,Kazuo Tsubota +6 more
TL;DR: Attention should be paid to eyes with large pupil decentration and tilting angle of the iris because these may be risk factors for reduction of postoperative BSCVA during corneal refractive surgeries.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficacy of core vitrectomy preceding triple corneal procedure
TL;DR: Core vitrectomy preceding triple corneal procedure is not necessary for all cases and there was no statistically significant difference in each clinical parameter examined except a tendency of facilitating IOL implantation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Oral administration of royal jelly restores tear secretion capacity in rat blink-suppressed dry eye model by modulating lacrimal gland function.
TL;DR: Royal jelly can be used as a preventative intervention for dry eye by managing tear secretion capacity in the LG using raw honey, propolis, royal jelly, pollen, or larva from commercially available honey bee products.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of pupil size on uncorrected visual acuity in pseudophakic eyes with astigmatism
Kazuhiro Watanabe,Kazuno Negishi,Murat Dogru,Takefumi Yamaguchi,Hidemasa Torii,Kazuo Tsubota +5 more
TL;DR: The results of the current study suggest that pupil size may have an impact on postoperative UDVA in eyes having against-the-rule astigmatism and in eyes with a large pupil diameter and with- the-ruleAstigmatism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Management of evaporative dry eye in ectrodactyly-ectodermal dysplasia-clefting syndrome.
TL;DR: Low dose lipid base ointment application may be a promising treatment modality for the ocular surface disease in ectrodactyly-ectodermal dysplasia-clefting syndrome, which seems to help in alleviating the subjective complaints and in improving the objective clinical findings.
