Low-concentration homogenized castor oil eye drops for noninflamed obstructive meibomian gland dysfunction

TL;DR: The results indicate that castor oil eye drops are effective and safe in the treatment of MGD and the possible mechanisms of this treatment are improvement of tear stability as a result of lipid spreading, ease of meibum expression, prevention of tear evaporation, and the lubricating effect of the oil eye Drops.
Journal Article

Angniotension II Type 1 Receptor–Mediated Inflammation Is Required for Choroidal Neovascularization

TL;DR: AT1-R–mediated inflammation plays a pivotal role in the development of CNV, indicating the possibility of AT1- R blockade as a novel therapeutic strategy to inhibit CNV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functional corneal endothelium derived from corneal stroma stem cells of neural crest origin by retinoic acid and Wnt/β-catenin signaling

TL;DR: The induction of functional tissue-engineered corneal endothelium (TECE) from mouse and human COPs is reported, which may lead to a novel stem cell therapy for corNEal endothelial dysfunction.
Journal ArticleDOI

The evaluation of the treatment response in obstructive meibomian gland disease by in vivo laser confocal microscopy.

TL;DR: In vivo confocal microscopy was able to effectively demonstrate the treatment responses in patients with obstructive meibomian gland disease and inflammatory cell density calculation seems to be a promising new parameter of in vivo conf focal microscopy in the evaluation of treatment responses.
