Journal ArticleDOI
Incidence of increased intraocular pressure after subtenon injection of triamcinolone acetonide.
Ryosuke Kawamura,Makoto Inoue,Hajime Shinoda,Kei Shinoda,Yuji Itoh,Susumu Ishida,Kazuo Tsubota +6 more
TL;DR: Repeated injections of TAs and injection of younger patients or myopic eyes increase the incidence of an intraocular pressure (IOP) elevation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Deep stromal opacity after corneal cross-linking.
Naoko Kato,Kenji Konomi,Megumi Saiki,Kazuno Negishi,Masaru Takeuchi,Jun Shimazaki,Kazuo Tsubota +6 more
TL;DR: Deep stromal opacity developed several months after uneventful corneal cross-linking, suggesting postoperative inflammation may play a crucial role in its pathogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tissue Renin-Angiotensin System in Lacrimal Gland Fibrosis in a Murine Model of Chronic Graft-Versus-Host Disease.
TL;DR: It is concluded that the tissue RAS is involved in the fibrotic pathogenesis of the lacrima gland and that AT1R blockers have a therapeutic effect on lacrimal gland fibrosis in cGVHD model mice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Allergic conjunctivitis as a risk factor for regression and haze after photorefractive keratectomy
Hao Yung Yang,Hao Yung Yang,Hiroshi Fujishima,Hiroshi Fujishima,Ikuko Toda,Ikuko Toda,Seiji Itoh,Hiroko Bissen-Miyajima,Hiroko Bissen-Miyajima,Jun Shimazaki,Kazuo Tsubota,Kazuo Tsubota +11 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that untreated allergic conjunctivitis is a significant risk factor for haze and myopic regression after photorefractive keratectomy.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, a transgenic mouse system called "ICE" was used to study the effects of DNA double-strand break (DSBs) on the epigenome and found that a tissue response to non-mutagenic DSBs reorganizes the epigenomes and accelerates physiological, cognitive, and molecular changes normally seen in older mice.
