Journal ArticleDOI

Mitochondrial Translocation of Protein Kinase C δ in Phorbol Ester-induced Cytochrome c Release and Apoptosis

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that translocation of PKCδ to mitochondria is responsible, at least in part, for inducing cytochrome crelease and apoptosis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mass Spectrometric Characterization of Proteins from the SARS Virus A Preliminary Report

TL;DR: The results suggest that the nucleocapsid protein is a major immunogen that may be useful for early diagnostics, and that the spike glycoprotein may present a particularly attractive target for prophylactic intervention in combating SARS.
Journal ArticleDOI

The role of angiotensin converting enzyme 2 in the generation of angiotensin 1-7 by rat proximal tubules.

TL;DR: The results indicate that ACE2 is widely expressed in rat nephron segments and contributes to the production of ANG 1-7 from ANG I in PST, which represents an important component of the proximal tubular renin-ANG system.
