Journal ArticleDOI
Environmental and life-history factors influence inter-colony multidimensional niche metrics of a breeding Arctic marine bird.

Mallory,Jóhannis Danielsen,Svend Erik Garbus,Sveinn Are Hanssen,Jón Einar Jónsson,Christopher J. Latty,Ellen Magnusdottir,Børge Moe,Glen J. Parsons,Christian Sonne,Grigori Tertitski,Oliver P. TL;DR: In this article, a multidimensional niche analysis was performed among breeding common eider (Somateria mollissima) ducks sampled from 10 breeding colonies distributed across the circumpolar Arctic and subarctic.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stable isotopes reveal captive vs wild origin of illegally captured songbirds in France.
TL;DR: Results show that even a single stable isotope (δ2H) with good association with origins where feather keratins are produced is potentially useful in understanding origins of captive birds and may advance the monitoring of illegally captured birds.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diet of nestling Barn Swallows in an agroecosystem: insights from fecal DNA barcoding and feather stable isotopes (δ13C, δ15N)
Jackson W. Kusack,Greg W. Mitchell,Dean R. Evans,Michael D. Cadman,Jenny L. McCune,Keith A. Hobson +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the relationship between landscape composition and diet of Barn Swallows (Hirundo rustica) raised in a mixed agroecosystem in southern Ontario, Canada.
