A determination of the properties of the neutral intermediate vector boson Z0

Bernardo Adeva, +454 more
- 16 Nov 1989 -
TL;DR: The first physics runs of the L3 detector at LEP were reported in this article, where the authors determined the mass m z 0 and the width Γ z 0 of the intermediate vector boson Z 0 to bem z 0 =91.132±0.057 GeV (not including the 46 MeV LEP machine energy uncertainty).
Journal ArticleDOI

Neutron total cross sections on nuclei at Fermilab energies

TL;DR: In this paper, total cross sections for neutrons on protons, deuteriom, beryllium, carbon, aluminium, iron, copper, cadmium, tungsten, lead, and uranium were measured in a small-angle neutral beam at Fermilab.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Review of Quark Search Experiments

TL;DR: All of the experimental evidence for and against the existence of free, physical quarks from cosmic rays, particle accelerators, and stable matter is reviewed in this paper, with the exception of Niobium pellets of third-integral residual charge.
Journal ArticleDOI

Liquid Hydrogen as a Fuel for the Future

TL;DR: The use of liquid hydrogen as a long-term replacement for hydrocarbon fuel for land and air transportation seems technically feasible as discussed by the authors, and it is an ideal fuel from the standpoint of a completely cyclic system, serving as a "working substance" in a closed chemical and thermodynamic cycle.
