Proteomics identifies new therapeutic targets of early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma
Ying Jiang,Aihua Sun,Yang Zhao,Yang Zhao,Wantao Ying,Hui-Chuan Sun,Xin-Rong Yang,Baocai Xing,Wei Sun,Liangliang Ren,Bo Hu,Li Chaoying,Li Zhang,Guangrong Qin,Menghuan Zhang,Ning Chen,Manli Zhang,Yin Huang,Zhou Jin'an,Yan Zhao,Mingwei Liu,Xiao-Dong Zhu,Yang Qiu,Yanjun Sun,Cheng Huang,Meng Yan,Mingchao Wang,Wei Liu,Fang Tian,Huali Xu,Jian Zhou,Zhenyu Wu,Tieliu Shi,Weimin Zhu,Jun Qin,Lu Xie,Jia Fan,Xiaohong Qian,Xiaohong Qian,Fuchu He +39 more
TL;DR: The proteomic stratification of early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma presented in this study provides insight into the tumour biology of this cancer, and suggests opportunities for personalized therapies that target it.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of hedgehog signaling as a potential oncogenic driver in an aggressive subclass of human hepatocellular carcinoma: A reanalysis of the TCGA cohort.
TL;DR: Global transcriptomic analysis showed that activation of Hedgehog signaling in the Ag subclass may play key roles in tumor development of aggressive HCC, and GLI1, a key transcriptional regulator of hedgehog signaling upregulated in theAg subclass, may be a potential prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for Ag subclass HCC patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Harnessing preclinical models for the interrogation of ovarian cancer
Tianyu Qin,Junpeng Fan,Funian Lu,Li Zhang,Chen Liu,Qiyue Xiong,Yang Zhao,Gang Chen,Chaoyang Sun +8 more
TL;DR: The potentials and challenges of using these valuable tools, either alone or in combination, to interrogate critical issues with ovarian cancer have been discussed in this article , where the authors focus on the potential of using them to bridge the gap between laboratory experiments and clinical practice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Discovery of Urinary Proteomic Signature for Differential Diagnosis of Acute Appendicitis.
Yinghua Zhao,Yinghua Zhao,Lianying Yang,Changqing Sun,Yang Li,Yangzhige He,Li Zhang,Tieliu Shi,Guangshun Wang,Xuebo Men,Wei Sun,Fuchu He,Jun Qin,Jun Qin +13 more
TL;DR: A 10-protein diagnostic panel by the random forest model was developed that was able to distinguish acute appendicitis from confusable acute abdomens with high specificity, which indicated the clinical application potential of noninvasive urinary markers in disease diagnosis.
