Novel biomarkers for pre-diabetes identified by metabolomics
Rui Wang-Sattler,Zhonghao Yu,Christian Herder,Ana C. Messias,Anna Floegel,Ying He,Katharina Heim,Monica Campillos,Christina Holzapfel,Barbara Thorand,Harald Grallert,Tao Xu,Erik Bader,Cornelia Huth,Kirstin Mittelstrass,Angela Döring,Christa Meisinger,Christian Gieger,Cornelia Prehn,Werner Roemisch-Margl,Maren Carstensen,Lu Xie,Hisami Yamanaka-Okumura,Guihong Xing,Uta Ceglarek,Joachim Thiery,Guido Giani,Heiko Lickert,Xu Lin,Yixue Li,Heiner Boeing,Hans-Georg Joost,Martin Hrabé de Angelis,Wolfgang Rathmann,Karsten Suhre,Karsten Suhre,Holger Prokisch,Annette Peters,Thomas Meitinger,Michael Roden,Michael Roden,H-Erich Wichmann,Tobias Pischon,Jerzy Adamski,Thomas Illig +44 more
TL;DR: Seven T2D‐related genes are identified that are associated with these three IGT‐specific metabolites by multiple interactions with four enzymes, and the expression levels of these enzymes correlate with changes in the metabolite concentrations linked to diabetes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Proteomics identifies new therapeutic targets of early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma
Ying Jiang,Aihua Sun,Yang Zhao,Yang Zhao,Wantao Ying,Hui-Chuan Sun,Xin-Rong Yang,Baocai Xing,Wei Sun,Liangliang Ren,Bo Hu,Li Chaoying,Li Zhang,Guangrong Qin,Menghuan Zhang,Ning Chen,Manli Zhang,Yin Huang,Zhou Jin'an,Yan Zhao,Mingwei Liu,Xiao-Dong Zhu,Yang Qiu,Yanjun Sun,Cheng Huang,Meng Yan,Mingchao Wang,Wei Liu,Fang Tian,Huali Xu,Jian Zhou,Zhenyu Wu,Tieliu Shi,Weimin Zhu,Jun Qin,Lu Xie,Jia Fan,Xiaohong Qian,Xiaohong Qian,Fuchu He +39 more
TL;DR: The proteomic stratification of early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma presented in this study provides insight into the tumour biology of this cancer, and suggests opportunities for personalized therapies that target it.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differences between human plasma and serum metabolite profiles
Zhonghao Yu,Gabi Kastenmüller,Ying He,Petra Belcredi,Gabriele Möller,Cornelia Prehn,Joaquim Mendes,Simone Wahl,Werner Roemisch-Margl,Uta Ceglarek,Alexey Polonikov,Norbert Dahmen,Holger Prokisch,Lu Xie,Yixue Li,H.-Erich Wichmann,Annette Peters,Florian Kronenberg,Karsten Suhre,Karsten Suhre,Jerzy Adamski,Thomas Illig,Rui Wang-Sattler +22 more
TL;DR: This study shows that reproducibility was good in both plasma and serum, and better in plasma, and as long as the same blood preparation procedure is used, either matrix should generate similar results in clinical and biological studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diagnostic and prognostic implications of microRNAs in human hepatocellular carcinoma.
Wenxi Li,Lu Xie,Xianghuo He,Jinjun Li,Kang Tu,Lin Wei,Lin Wei,Jun Wu,Guo Yong,Xi Ma,P. Zhang,Zhimei Pan,Xin Hu,Xin Hu,Yingjun Zhao,Yingjun Zhao,Hai-yang Xie,Guoping Jiang,Taoyang Chen,Jianneng Wang,Shusen Zheng,Jing Cheng,Dafang Wan,Shengli Yang,Yixue Li,Jianren Gu +25 more
TL;DR: The authors have demonstrated the diagnostic miRNA profile for HCC, and for the first time, identified the miR‐125b with predictive significance for H CC prognosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
ITFP: an integrated platform of mammalian transcription factors
TL;DR: An integrated TF platform (ITFP) was developed, which included abundant TFs and their targets of mammalian and will serve as an important resource for the research community of transcription and provide strong support for regulatory network study.
