Journal ArticleDOI

Hippocampal slow EEG frequencies during NREM sleep are involved in spatial memory consolidation in humans.

TL;DR: The present findings support the crucial role of hippocampal slow EEG frequencies during sleep in the memory consolidation processes and suggest that slow frequency rhythms are a fundamental characteristic of human hippocampal EEG during both sleep and wakefulness, and are related to the consolidation of different types of memories.
Journal ArticleDOI

Surgical treatment of polymicrogyria‐related epilepsy

TL;DR: The role of resective surgery in the treatment of polymicrogyria (PMG)-related focal epilepsy is uncertain this article, and the role of surgical treatment is uncertain.
Journal ArticleDOI

Temporal relationship of generalized epileptiform discharges to spindle frequency activity in childhood absence epilepsy.

TL;DR: Sleep generalized spike-and-slow-waves seems to be produced when spindle synchronizing mechanisms are active while DA production seem to exert an inhibiting role, which is common to other childhood partial and undetermined epileptic syndromes.
