Synthesis of mesoscale ordered two-dimensional π-conjugated polymers with semiconducting properties
Gianluca Galeotti,Gianluca Galeotti,F. De Marchi,Ehsan Hamzehpoor,Oliver MacLean,M. Rajeswara Rao,Yi Chen,Lucas V. Besteiro,Lucas V. Besteiro,Dominik Dettmann,Luisa Ferrari,F. Frezza,Polina M. Sheverdyaeva,R. Liu,Asish K. Kundu,Paolo Moras,Maryam Ebrahimi,Maryam Ebrahimi,M.C. Gallagher,Federico Rosei,Dmitrii F. Perepichka,Giorgio Contini +21 more
TL;DR: This work demonstrates the fabrication of mesoscale ordered two-dimensional π-conjugated polymer kagome lattices with semiconducting properties, Dirac cone structures and flat bands on Au(111) by combining a rigid azatriangulene precursor and a hot dosing approach, which favours molecular diffusion and eliminates voids in the network.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electronic structure of graphene/Co interfaces
Daniela Pacilé,Daniela Pacilé,Simone Lisi,I. Di Bernardo,Marco Papagno,Marco Papagno,Luisa Ferrari,M. Pisarra,Marco Caputo,Marco Caputo,Sanjoy K. Mahatha,Polina M. Sheverdyaeva,Paolo Moras,Paolo Lacovig,Silvano Lizzit,A. Baraldi,Maria Grazia Betti,C. Carbone +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper, Carbone et al. presented a survey of the results of the Fisica project at the University of Trieste in Italy, focusing on the role of FISICA in the development of the Lizzit algorithm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Si(100)1×1-Sb and Si(100)2×1-Sb surfaces studied with angle-resolved photoemission and surface differential reflectivity
TL;DR: Angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy and surface differential reflectivity have been used to study the electronic structure of Si( 100):Sb-1-1\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}1 and Si(100):S b-2-2\ ifmmode-1/2/3/4/5/6 surfaces.
Journal ArticleDOI
Asymmetric band gaps in a Rashba film system
Carmelita Carbone,Paolo Moras,Polina M. Sheverdyaeva,Daniela Pacilé,Marco Papagno,Luisa Ferrari,Dinesh Topwal,Elio Vescovo,Gustav Bihlmayer,Frank Freimuth,Yuriy Mokrousov,Stefan Blügel +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the joint effect of exchange and Rashba spin-orbit interactions was examined on the surface and quantum well states of the Ag films grown on ferromagnetic Fe(110), showing that the peculiar asymmetry of the discovered electronic structure can have significant influence on spin-polarized transport properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of SiC on Si(1 1 1) at moderate temperatures by supersonic C60 beams
L. Aversa,Roberto Verucchi,G. Ciullo,Luisa Ferrari,Paolo Moras,Maddalena Pedio,A. Pesci,Salvatore Iannotta +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a novel approach to the synthesis of SiC on clean Si substrates in ultra high vacuum (UHV) was developed, taking advantage of the features offered by a supersonic beam of C60.
