Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamics of Photoelectrons and Structural Changes of Tungsten Trioxide Observed by Femtosecond Transient XAFS.

TL;DR: The dynamics of the local electronic and geometric structures of WO3 following photoexcitation were studied by femtosecond time-resolved X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) spectroscopy and found that the electronic state was the first to change followed by the local structure, which was affected within 200 ps ofphotoexcitation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of temporal coherence of hard X-ray free-electron laser pulses with single-shot interferograms

TL;DR: The temporal coherence of hard X-ray free-electron laser pulses was characterized by capturing single-shot interferograms with a versatile interferometer composed of six separate optical elements with a mean coherence time of 5.7 fs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multi-wavelength anomalous diffraction de novo phasing using a two-colour X-ray free-electron laser with wide tunability

TL;DR: The authors use a two-colour X-ray free-electron laser beam for simultaneous two-wavelength data collection and show that protein structures can be determined with multiple wavelength anomalous dispersion phasing, which is important for difficult-to-phase projects.
