Journal ArticleDOI
Assessment of residual thrombus burden in patients with ST‐segment elevation myocardial infarction undergoing bivalirudin versus unfractionated heparin infusion: The MATRIX (minimizing adverse hemorrhagic events by transradial access site and angioX) OCT study
Hector M. Garcia-Garcia,Marianna Adamo,Mohamad Soud,Omar Yacob,Andrea Picchi,Gennaro Sardella,Enrico Frigoli,Ugo Limbruno,Stefano Rigattieri,Roberto Diletti,Giacomo Boccuzzi,Marco Zimarino,Marco Contarini,Filippo Russo,Paolo Calabrò,Giuseppe Andò,Ferdinando Varbella,Stefano Garducci,Cataldo Palmieri,Carlo Briguori,Alexios Karagiannis,Marco Valgimigli +21 more
TL;DR: Residual stent strut thrombosis after primary percutaneous coronary intervention negatively affects myocardial perfusion, may increase stent thromBosis risk, and it is associated with neointima hyperplasia at follow‐up.
Journal Article
Current options to manage clopidogrel poor responsiveness
TL;DR: Evidence does exist showing that a strategy of higher maintenance dose or switch to different thienopyridines or use of glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors during PCI may be helpful to overcome poor responsiveness and improve the long-term clinical outcome.
Journal ArticleDOI
DAPT Duration After Drug-Eluting Stent Implantation: No News Is Good News∗
Journal ArticleDOI
Chronic Thrombocytopenia and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: The Virtue of Prudence.

Journal ArticleDOI
Combined anatomical and clinical factors for the risk stratification of patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention: the logistic clinical syntax score
Vasim Farooq,Yvonne Vergouwe,Lorenz Räber,Pascal Vrancx,Hector Garcia Garcia,Salvatore Brugaletta,Arie-Pieter Kappetein,Marie-Angèle Morel,Ton de Vries,Michael Swart,Keith D. Dawkins,Marco Valgimigli,Stephan Windecker,Ewout W. Steyerberg,Patrick W. Serruys +14 more
TL;DR: The SYNTAX Score is an important prognostic factor for PCI patients and the incorporation of clinical factors may further augment the utility of the SXscore to risk stratify individual patients.
