Journal ArticleDOI
Association between post-percutaneous coronary intervention bivalirudin infusion and net adverse clinical events: a post hoc analysis of the GLOBAL LEADERS study
Chun Chin Chang,Chun Chin Chang,Chun Chin Chang,Ply Chichareon,Ply Chichareon,Rodrigo Modolo,Kuniaki Takahashi,Norihiro Kogame,Mariusz Tomaniak,Chao Gao,Kees-Jan Royaards,Angel Cequier,Keith G. Oldroyd,Philippe Gabriel Steg,Christian W. Hamm,Peter Jüni,Marco Valgimigli,Stephan Windecker,Yoshinobu Onuma,Rod Stables,Robert-Jan van Geuns,Patrick W. Serruys +21 more
TL;DR: In an all-comers population undergoing PCI, there was no significant difference in the risk of NACE at 30 days between continued bivalirudin infusion vs. no bival IRD, but continued bivalentirud in infusion was associated with a higher risk ofNACE in STEMI patients when compared with no infusion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Myocardial ischaemia: new evidence for angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibition
TL;DR: The clinical hypothesis to be tested is that prolonged ACE inhibition reduces the progression of coronary atherosclerosis; the biological hypothesis is that extendedACE inhibition reduces or even reverses endothelial dysfunction to normal—a mechanism in which bradykinin might be involved.
Journal ArticleDOI
Questions and answers on antithrombotic therapy: a companion document of the 2015 ESC Guidelines for the management of acute coronary syndromes in patients presenting without persistent ST-segment elevation
Jean-Philippe Collet,Marco Roffi,Christian Mueller,Marco Valgimigli,Carlo Patrono,Helmut Baumgartner,Oliver Gaemperli,José Luis Zamorano +7 more
TL;DR: An 85-year-old woman presented to the emergency room with recent recurrent interscapular back pain occurring during short walking distance and cold exposure and the discomfort sometimes persisted at rest for few minutes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Use of granulocyte-colony stimulating factor during acute myocardial infarction to enhance bone marrow stem cell mobilization in humans
Journal ArticleDOI
Paclitaxel eluting stents for the treatment of angiographically non-significant atherosclerotic lesions.
Gaston A. Rodriguez-Granillo,Marco Valgimigli,Andrew T.L. Ong,Jiro Aoki,Carlos Van Mieghem,Angela Hoye,Keiichi Tsuchida,Eugene P. McFadden,Pim J. de Feyter,Patrick W. Serruys +9 more
TL;DR: The result of this non‐randomized observational study suggests that the implantation of PES for de novo, non‐significant lesions appears most probably safe and effective.
