Journal ArticleDOI
Cerebellum involvement in cortical sensorimotor circuits for the control of voluntary movements
Rémi Proville,Rémi Proville,Rémi Proville,Maria Spolidoro,Maria Spolidoro,Maria Spolidoro,Nicolas Guyon,Nicolas Guyon,Nicolas Guyon,Guillaume P. Dugué,Guillaume P. Dugué,Guillaume P. Dugué,Fekrije Selimi,Fekrije Selimi,Fekrije Selimi,Philippe Isope,Daniela Popa,Daniela Popa,Daniela Popa,Clément Léna,Clément Léna,Clément Léna +21 more
TL;DR: Light is shed on the cerebellum as an active component of sensorimotor circuits and the importance of sensorsimotor cortico-cerebellar loops in the fine control of voluntary movements is shown.
Journal ArticleDOI
α‐synuclein assemblies sequester neuronal α3‐Na+/K+‐ATPase and impair Na+ gradient
Amulya Nidhi Shrivastava,Virginie Redeker,Nicolas Fritz,Laura Pieri,Leandro G. Almeida,Maria Spolidoro,Thomas Liebmann,Luc Bousset,Marianne Renner,Clément Léna,Anita Aperia,Ronald Melki,Antoine Triller +12 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that α‐syn assemblies form clusters within the plasma membrane of neurons, resulting in α3‐NKA redistribution and formation of larger nanoclusters and decreasing the efficiency of Na+ extrusion following stimulus.
Journal ArticleDOI
Functional Role of the Cerebellum in Gamma-Band Synchronization of the Sensory and Motor Cortices
Daniela Popa,Daniela Popa,Daniela Popa,Maria Spolidoro,Maria Spolidoro,Maria Spolidoro,Rémi Proville,Rémi Proville,Rémi Proville,Nicolas Guyon,Nicolas Guyon,Nicolas Guyon,Lucile Belliveau,Lucile Belliveau,Lucile Belliveau,Clément Léna,Clément Léna,Clément Léna +17 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that the cerebellum contributes to coordinated sensorimotor cortical activities during motor activation and thus participates in the multiregional cortical processing of information.
Journal ArticleDOI
Burst-Dependent Bidirectional Plasticity in the Cerebellum Is Driven by Presynaptic NMDA Receptors
Guy Bouvier,David Higgins,David Higgins,Maria Spolidoro,Damien Carrel,Benjamin Mathieu,Clément Léna,Stéphane Dieudonné,Boris Barbour,Nicolas Brunel,Mariano Casado +10 more
TL;DR: It is found that high-frequency bursts are necessary to trigger LTP and that this burst-dependent plasticity depends on presynaptic NMDA receptors and nitric oxide (NO) signaling and a mechanistic plasticity model based on NO and calcium signaling is developed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Data in support of the identification of neuronal and astrocyte proteins interacting with extracellularly applied oligomeric and fibrillar α-synuclein assemblies by mass spectrometry.
Amulya Nidhi Shrivastava,Virginie Redeker,Nicolas Fritz,Laura Pieri,Leandro G. Almeida,Maria Spolidoro,Thomas Liebmann,Luc Bousset,Marianne Renner,Clément Léna,Anita Aperia,Ronald Melki,Antoine Triller +12 more
TL;DR: The data presented here support the proteomic analysis used to identify neuronal proteins that specifically interact with extracellularly applied oligomeric or fibrillar α-syn assemblies (conditions 1 and 2, respectively) (doi: 10.15252/embj.201591397).
