Effect of Meteoric Ions on Ionospheric Conductance at Jupiter

TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated the contribution of meteoric ions to ionospheric conductance by combining a meteoroid ablation model and a photochemical model and found that the largest contribution to Pedersen and Hall conductivities occurs in the meteoric ion layer at altitudes of 350-600 km.
Journal Article

Enhancement of the Jovian Magnetospheric Plasma Circulation Caused by the Change in Plasma Supply From the Satellite Io

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a continuous data set of the Io plasma torus obtained from an extreme ultraviolet spectroscope onboard the HISAKI satellite to investigate the effect of volcanic eruptions in Io on the rotation-dominant magnetosphere.
Journal ArticleDOI

First detection of [OI] 630 nm emission in the Enceladus torus

TL;DR: In this article, a high-dispersion echelle spectrograph coupled with a 40 cm telescope was used to observe the Enceladus torus around Saturn.
Journal ArticleDOI

X-Ray Polarization Observations of BL Lacertae

R. Middei, +145 more
TL;DR: In this article , the first observations of BL Lacertae (BL Lac) performed with the Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer, from which an upper limit to the polarization degree Π X < 12.6% was found in the 2-8 keV band.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

High dynamic-range observation using a 1.8-m off-axis telescope PLANETS: feasibility study and telescope design

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present feasibility study of monitoring water plumes on Europa, neutral torus close to Enceladus, and ionosphere on Mars using PLANETS telescope.
