TL;DR: This work reports the Fermi Large Area Telescope detection of variable gamma-ray emission from the recently detected optical nova of the symbiotic star V407 Cygni and proposes that the material of the nova shell interacts with the dense ambient medium of the red giant primary and that particles can be accelerated effectively to produce pi(0) decay gamma-rays from proton-proton interactions.

TL;DR: In this article, period variations of superhumps in SU UMa-type dwarf novae based on newly obtained data and past publications were systematically surveyed and the evolution of the superhump period was found to be composed of three distinct stages: early evolutionary stage with a longer superhup period, middle stage with systematically varying periods, and final stage with shorter, stable superhum period.

TL;DR: In this article, early phase observations in optical and near-infrared wavelengths for the extremely luminous Type Ia supernova (SN Ia) 2009dc were presented, showing that SN 2009dc belongs to the most luminous class of SNe Ia, like SNe 2003fg and 2006gz.
