Jacob M. Musser,Klaske J. Schippers,Michael Nickel,Michael Nickel,Giulia Mizzon,Andrea B. Kohn,Constantin Pape,Paolo Ronchi,Nikolaos Papadopoulos,Alexander J. Tarashansky,Jörg U. Hammel,Florian Wolf,Cong Liang,Ana Hernández-Plaza,Carlos Pérez Cantalapiedra,Kaia Achim,Nicole L. Schieber,Leslie Pan,Fabian Ruperti,Warren R. Francis,Sergio Vargas,Svenja Kling,Maike Renkert,Maxim Polikarpov,Gleb Bourenkov,Roberto Feuda,Imre Gaspar,Pawel Burkhardt,Bo Wang,Peer Bork,Martin Beck,Thomas R. Schneider,Anna Kreshuk,Gert Wörheide,Jaime Huerta-Cepas,Yannick Schwab,Leonid L. Moroz,Leonid L. Moroz,Detlev Arendt +38 more
TL;DR: This paper used whole-body single-cell RNA sequencing in a sponge, an animal without nervous system and musculature, to identify the evolutionary origin of metazoan cell types such as neurons and muscles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Parabolic single-crystal diamond lenses for coherent x-ray imaging
Sergey Terentyev,Vladimir Blank,Sergey N. Polyakov,S. I. Zholudev,Anatoly Snigirev,Maxim Polikarpov,Tomasz Kolodziej,Jun Qian,Hua Zhou,Yuri Shvyd'ko +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a parabolic single-crystal diamond compound refractive lens was designed for coherent x-ray imaging resilient to extreme thermal and radiation loading expected from next generation light sources.
Journal ArticleDOI
Large-acceptance diamond planar refractive lenses manufactured by laser cutting
Maxim Polikarpov,Maxim Polikarpov,Irina Snigireva,John Morse,V. Yunkin,Sergey Kuznetsov,Anatoly Snigirev +6 more
TL;DR: For the first time, single-crystal diamond planar refractive lenses have been fabricated by laser micromachining in 300 µm-thick diamond plates which were grown by chemical vapour deposition to withstand the extreme flux densities expected at the planned fourth-generation X-ray sources.
Journal ArticleDOI
Linear parabolic single-crystal diamond refractive lenses for synchrotron X-ray sources
Sergey Terentyev,Maxim Polikarpov,Irina Snigireva,Marco Di Michiel,S. I. Zholudev,V. Yunkin,Sergey Kuznetsov,Vladimir Blank,Anatoly Snigirev +8 more
TL;DR: Linear parabolic diamond refractive lenses are presented, designed to withstand high thermal and radiation loads coming from upgraded accelerator X-ray sources.
Journal ArticleDOI
X-ray harmonics rejection on third-generation synchrotron sources using compound refractive lenses.
TL;DR: The proposed method of harmonics rejection based on X-ray refractive optics is well suited to third-generation synchrotron radiation sources and is very promising for the future ultimate storage rings.
