Profile of humoral and cellular immune responses to single doses of BNT162b2 or ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccines in residents and staff within residential care homes (VIVALDI): an observational study.
Gokhan Tut,Tara Lancaster,Maria Krutikov,Panagiota Sylla,David Bone,Nayandeep Kaur,Eliska Spalkova,Christopher Bentley,Umayr Amin,Azar T Jadir,Samuel Hulme,Megan S Butler,Morenike Ayodele,Rachel Bruton,Madhumita Shrotri,Borscha Azmi,Christopher Fuller,Aidan Irwin-Singer,Andrew Hayward,Andrew Copas,Laura Shallcross,Paul Moss +21 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors assessed the magnitude and quality of adaptive immune responses following a single dose of COVID-19 vaccine in LTCF residents and staff, and found that spike-specific immune responses were similar between older and younger participants, with the negative age correlation disappearing only in samples taken more than 42 days post-vaccination.

Children develop strong and sustained cross-reactive immune responses against Spike protein following SARS-CoV-2 infection, with enhanced recognition of variants of concern

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the profile of antibody and cellular immunity in children aged 3-11 years in comparison with adults and found that children were strong with high titres against spike protein and receptor binding domain (RBD).

TL;DR: Residents who are infection-naive have delayed antibody responses to the first dose of vaccine and might be considered for an early second vaccine where possible.

Robust SARS-CoV-2-specific and heterologous immune responses after natural infection in elderly residents of Long-Term Care Facilities
Gokhan Tut,Tara Lancaster,Megan S Butler,Panagiota Sylla,Eliska Spalkova,David Bone,Nayandeep Kaur,Christopher Bentley,Umayr Amin,Azar T Jadir,Samuel Hulme,Morenike Ayodele,Alexander C Dowell,Hayden Pearce,Sandra Margielewska-Davies,Kriti Verma,Samantha Nicol,Jusnara Begum,Elizabeth Jinks,Elif Tut,Rachel Bruton,Maria Krutikov,Madhumita Shrotri,Rebecca Giddings,Borscha Azmi,Christopher Fuller,Aidan Irwin-Singer,Andrew Hayward,Andrew Copas,Laura Shallcross,Paul Moss +30 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied humoral and cellular immunity against SARS-CoV-2 in 152 LTCF staff and 124 residents over a prospective 4-month period shortly after the first wave of infection.
