Polymeric nanoparticles: Potent vectors for vaccine delivery targeting cancer and infectious diseases
Azam Bolhassani,Shabnam Javanzad,Tayebeh Saleh,Mehrdad Hashemi,Mohammad Reza Aghasadeghi,Seyed Mehdi Sadat +5 more
TL;DR: This review describes polymeric carriers especially PLGA, chitosan, and PEI as vaccine delivery systems as well as natural polymers such as polysaccharides and synthetic polymers have demonstrated great potential to form vaccine nanoparticles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of the anti-bacterial activity on the nanosilver shapes: Nanoparticles, nanorods and nanoplates
Babak Sadeghi,Farshid S. Garmaroudi,Mehrdad Hashemi,H.R. Nezhad,A. Nasrollahi,Sima Ardalan,Sahar Ardalan +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the antimicrobial activity of nanosilver shapes; Ag-nanoplates (Ag-NPls), Ag-NRds, and Ag-NPs with a stabilizer, such as poly(N -vinyl-2-pyrrolidone) (PVP).
Journal ArticleDOI
Fndc5 knockdown significantly decreased neural differentiation rate of mouse embryonic stem cells.
Mehrdad Hashemi,Kamran Ghaedi,Kamran Ghaedi,Ahmad Salamian,Khadijeh Karbalaie,Modjtaba Emadi-Baygi,S Tanhaei,Mohammad Hossein Nasr-Esfahani,Hossein Baharvand,Hossein Baharvand +9 more
TL;DR: An inducible short hairpin RNA vector is constructed that is expressed under induction by doxycycline and concludes that Fndc5 expression is required for the appropriate neural differentiation of mESCs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Role of microRNA/Epithelial-to-Mesenchymal Transition Axis in the Metastasis of Bladder Cancer
Milad Ashrafizadeh,Kiavash Hushmandi,Mehrdad Hashemi,Mohammad Esmaeil Akbari,Peter Kubatka,Mehdi Raei,Lenka Koklesova,Shahinozzaman,Reza Mohammadinejad,Masoud Najafi,Gautam Sethi,Alan Prem Kumar,Ali Zarrabi +12 more
TL;DR: This review focuses on microRNAs (miRNAs) and their regulatory effect on epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) mechanisms that can regulate metastasis ofadder cancer cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
DNA adducts with antioxidant flavonoids: morin, apigenin, and naringin.
TL;DR: This study was designed to examine the interactions of morin, naringin (Nar), and apigenin (Api) with calf thymus DNA in aqueous solution at physiological conditions, using constant DNA concentration and various drug/DNA(phosphate) ratios to determine the ligand binding modes, the binding constant, and the stability of DNA in flavonoid-DNA complexes in aQueous solution.
