Journal ArticleDOI

Mutational landscape and clonal architecture in grade II and III gliomas

TL;DR: In this article, the authors delineate the entire picture of genetic alterations and affected pathways in these glioma types, with sensitive detection of driver genes Grade II and III gliomas comprise three distinct subtypes characterized by discrete sets of mutations and distinct clinical behaviors, suggesting that there is functional interplay between the mutations that drive clonal selection.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quantitative metabolome analysis profiles activation of glutaminolysis in glioma with IDH1 mutation

TL;DR: It is concluded that glutaminolysis is activated in gliomas with IDH1-R132H mutation and that development of novel therapeutic approaches targeting activated glutaminosynthesis is warranted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Applicable advances in the molecular pathology of glioblastoma.

TL;DR: Recent developments in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) subtypes, immunohistochemical analyses useful for diagnoses and the biological evaluation and therapeutic implications of gliomas are summarized in this review.
Journal ArticleDOI

An immuno-wall microdevice exhibits rapid and sensitive detection of IDH1-R132H mutation specific to grade II and III gliomas

TL;DR: The immuno-wall device will enable the rapid and highly sensitive detection of the IDH1-R132H mutation in gliomas in routine clinical practice and should help in the differential diagnosis of grade II and III glioma from other types of CNS tumors and help determine the boundary between the tumor and normal brain tissue.
