Journal ArticleDOI

Erythrocyte membrane anionic content and urinary glycosaminoglycan excretion in type 1 diabetes : Association with retinopathy

TL;DR: It is found that type 1 diabetic patients with less EAC and more UGAG are more likely to have diabetic retinopathy, and EAC (p = 0.007) and diabetes duration (p= 0.001) were found to be the two significant factors to have diabetics with logistic regression analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

The antifibrotic drug halofuginone reduces ischemia/reperfusion-induced oxidative renal damage in rats

TL;DR: Halofuginone treatment was found to reduce oxidative I/R injury and improve renal function in the rat kidney, as evidenced by reduced generation of reactive oxygen species, depressed lipid peroxidation and myeloperoxidase activity, and increased glutathione levels.
Journal Article

The protective effect of melatonin and amlodipine against cerebral ischemia/reperfusion-induced oxidative brain injury in rats

TL;DR: Melatonin, amlodipin, beyin, iskemi / reperfuzyon, lipid peroksidasyonu, yontemi ile olculdu, bagli olarak meydana gelen norokimyasal ve davranissal degisikleri module edebilecegi dusunulmektedir.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antioxidant effect of pomegranate extract in reducing acute inflammation due to myringotomy.

TL;DR: The results indicate that oral pomegranate extract decreases reactive oxygen species concentration and acute inflammation in the tympanic membrane after myringotomy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Halofuginone improves caustic-induced oxidative injury of esophagus in rats

TL;DR: In addition to its anti-fibrotic effects, current findings demonstrate that halofuginone exerts antioxidant and anti-apoptotic actions and supports therapeutic potential for halofUGinone in CEI-induced oxidative stress.
