Biological risks associated with consumption of reptile products
Simone Magnino,Pierre Colin,Eduardo Dei-Cas,Mogens Madsen,James McLauchlin,Karsten Nöckler,Miguel Prieto Maradona,Eirini Tsigarida,Emmanuel Vanopdenbosch,Carlos Van Peteghem +9 more
TL;DR: There are no indications that natural transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSEs) occur in reptilians, but the feeding of farmed reptiles with non-processed and recycled animal products is likely to increase the occurrence of biological hazards in reptile meat.
