Polar Diketopyrrolopyrrole‐Imidazolium Salts as Selective Probes for Staining Mitochondria in Two‐Photon Fluorescence Microscopy

TL;DR: Three rationally designed polar derivatives of diketopyrrolopyrrole consisting of 1,3-dimethylimidazolium cationic units and benzene, thiophene, or furan rings as π spacers were synthesized and thoroughly studied and are characterized by strong absorption and good fluorescence quantum yields.
Journal ArticleDOI

Two-Photon-Induced Fluorescence in New π-Expanded Diketopyrrolopyrroles

TL;DR: Photophysical studies of these new functional dyes revealed that they possess enhanced properties when compared with expanded DPPs in terms of two-photon absorption cross-section, and make these new π-expanded diketopyrrolopyrroles of major promise as two- photon dyes for bioimaging applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

"Hyper-bright" near-infrared emitting fluorescent organic nanoparticles for single particle tracking.

TL;DR: An efficacious strategy to obtain photostable Hyper-bright near-IR emitting Fluorescent Organic Nanoparticles (HIFONS) is reported, emerging as highly promising tools for applications in bionanotechnologies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhanced two-photon fluorescence imaging and therapy of cancer cells via Gold@bridged silsesquioxane nanoparticles.

TL;DR: A two-photon photosensitizer with four triethoxysilyl groups is synthesized through the click reaction, which allows the design of bridged silsesquioxane nanoparticles through a sol-gel process and gold core BS shells or BS nanoparticles decorated with gold nanospheres are synthesized.
