Journal ArticleDOI
Efficacy, effectiveness and safety of vaccination against human papillomavirus in males: a systematic review.
TL;DR: HPV vaccination in males is moderately effective against persistent anogenital HPV infection and high-grade anal intraepithelial lesions in studies where the population consists mainly of HPV-infected males, and supports a recommendation for vaccination of boys before the onset of sexual activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) seroprevalence in the adult population of Germany.
Raskit Lachmann,Anna D. Loenenbach,Anna D. Loenenbach,Tim Waterboer,Nicole Brenner,Michael Pawlita,Angelika Michel,Michael Thamm,Christina Poethko-Müller,Ole Wichmann,Miriam Wiese-Posselt +10 more
TL;DR: CMV screening during pregnancy and informing seronegative women about CMV risk reduction measures could prevent congenital CMV infections with its serious consequences.
Journal ArticleDOI
Colonization with third-generation cephalosporin-resistant Enterobacteriaceae on hospital admission: prevalence and risk factors.
Axel Hamprecht,Anna M Rohde,Michael Behnke,Susanne Feihl,Petra Gastmeier,Friedemann Gebhardt,Winfried V. Kern,Johannes K.-M. Knobloch,Alexander Mischnik,Birgit Obermann,Christiane Querbach,Silke Peter,Christian Schneider,Wiebke Schröder,Frank J. Schwab,Evelina Tacconelli,Miriam Wiese-Posselt,Thorsten Wille,Matthias Willmann,Harald Seifert,Janine Zweigner +20 more
TL;DR: The observed prevalence of 9.5% 3GCREB carriage was higher than previously reported and differed significantly among centres, and the treatment of GERD proved to be an independent risk factor for 3 GCREB colonization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative varicella vaccine effectiveness during outbreaks in day-care centres.
M. Spackova,Miriam Wiese-Posselt,Manuel Dehnert,Dorothea Matysiak-Klose,Ulrich Heininger,A. Siedler +5 more
TL;DR: Enhanced efforts to increase VC in Germany and 2 doses varicella vaccine might be successful to reduce the risk for BV, and the evidence that VE and risk of BV are associated with vaccine brand needs further investigation.
