On the Performance of MIMO OFDM-Based Intra-Vehicular VLC Networks

TL;DR: This paper investigates the performance of hybrid LTE and visible light communication (VLC) networks using LTE as the backhaul and VLC as the on-board access network and proposes configurations based on direct current biased optical orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (DCO-OFDM).
Journal ArticleDOI

On the Performance of MIMO Cooperative Transmission for Broadband Vehicular Networks

TL;DR: This paper investigates the performance of a cooperative vehicular network over a doubly selective fading channel using multiple antennas at source and destination vehicles and derives a pairwise error probability (PEP) expression and demonstrates the achievable diversity gains.
Journal ArticleDOI

An efficient implementation of a maximum-likelihood detector for space-time block coded systems

TL;DR: Under quasi-static channel conditions, the likelihood function reduces to a simple form similar to the classical correlation receiver in matrix notation, which allows the development of a recursive expression that can be easily implemented by a Viterbi-type algorithm with a reasonable complexity.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Multi-relay cooperative OFDM with amplify-and-forward relaying

TL;DR: Through the derivation of pairwise error probability (PEP), it is demonstrated that the maximum diversity order is given by the summation of the channel length in the direct link and the minimum of channel lengths in each relaying link, which is further confirmed by simulation results.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Space-Time Coded Cooperative Diversity with Multiple-Antenna Nodes

TL;DR: This paper quantifies analytically the impact of multiple antenna deployment for each relaying technique under various scenarios and presents an extensive Monte Carlo simulation study to corroborate the analytical results and to provide detailed performance comparisons among the relaying techniques under consideration.
