Composition for treating neurodegenerative disease or neuropathological condition

TL;DR: In this article, extracts and refined fractions of a traditional Chinese medicinal herb, Alpinia officinarum (AO), components thereof, and the use of such compounds and compositions to treat neurodegenerative or neuropathological conditions or to inhibit aggregation of a-synuclein.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Optical response of photodiode in integrated DNA detection system

TL;DR: In this article, the fabrication and optical response of photodiodes when they are used in an integrated detection system for DNA analysis is described and compared with the traditional approach of external CCD camera based detection systems, which can produce a more highly integrated system with higher density.

High-resolution two-photon transcranial imaging of brain using direct wavefront sensing

TL;DR: Adapt optics two-photon microscopy is developed for high-resolution transcranial imaging of layer 5 pyramidal neurons up to 700 μm below pia in living mice and an optimized configuration of imaging system and new wavefront sensing algorithm are proposed for accurate correction for the aberrations induced by the skull window and brain tissue.
