Perpendicular induced magnetic moments of Ag in Ag/Fe multilayers
T. Phalet,J. Camps,P. De Moor,Paul Schuurmans,Nathal Severijns,M. Trhlík,A. Van Geert,Ludo Vanneste,Bart Vereecke,William D. Brewer +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the induced magnetic moments of Ag in Ag/Fe multilayers with low temperature nuclear orientation were studied and it was shown that there are magnetic moments in the spacer of the Ag spacer and these induced magnetic points do not lie in the plane of the multilayer for 2 and 4 ML of Ag at low external field.
Journal ArticleDOI
Discovery of the neutron radiative decay
R. U. Khafizov,Nathal Severijns,O. Zimmer,H. F. Wirth,D. Rich,S. V. Tolokonnikov,V. A. Solovei,M. R. Kolhidashvili +7 more
TL;DR: The radiative gamma-decay (RBD) as discussed by the authors is a rare neutron mode, where a new particle is formed along with the expected decay products beta-electron, recoil proton and antineutrino.
Journal ArticleDOI
Brute-force orientation of hf-178m2 and magnetic-moments of hf-178m1 and hf-178m2
H. Postma,B. Kastelein,Nathal Severijns,D. Vandeplassche,J Vanhaverbeke,Ludo Vanneste,E Vanwalle,J Vanklinken +7 more
TL;DR: The magnetic moment of the 8− isomer at 1147.7 keV (4.0 s) is estimated to be between 1.4 and 5.3 nm as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Towards nuclear structure with radioactive muonic atoms : The nuclear charge radius of radioactive isotopes from measurements of muonic X-rays
A. Skawran,A. Skawran,Andrzej Adamczak,Aldo Antognini,Aldo Antognini,Niklaus Berger,Thomas Elias Cocolios,Rugard Dressler,Christoph E. Düllmann,Robert Eichler,Paul Indelicato,Klaus Jungmann,Klaus Kirch,Klaus Kirch,Andreas Knecht,J.J. Krauth,Jonas Nuber,Angela Papa,Angela Papa,Randolf Pohl,Maxim Pospelov,E. Rapisarda,D. Renisch,P. Reiter,Narongrit Ritjoho,Narongrit Ritjoho,S. Roccia,Nathal Severijns,S. M. Vogiatzi,S. M. Vogiatzi,Frederik Wauters,L. Willman +31 more
TL;DR: In this article, a new approach to solve previous limitations of muonic atom X-ray spectroscopy experiments is the application of multiple muon transfer reactions in a high-pressure hydrogen gas cell with a small admixture of deuterium.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anisotropic alpha-emission in the223Ra decay chain
Paul Schuurmans,Johan Wouters,P. De Moor,Nathal Severijns,W Vanderpoorten,J Vanhaverbeke,Ludo Vanneste +6 more
TL;DR: Anisotropic α-emission from nuclei in the decay chain from223Ra to207Tl has been observed using low temperature nuclear orientation in combination with high resolution α-detection at 4.2 K as mentioned in this paper.
