An Efficient Gradient Based Registration Technique for Coin Recognition

TL;DR: This paper presents a coin recognition system based completely on the direction of the gradient vectors, which is done by a simple nearest neighbor search followed by several rejection criteria to meet the demand of a low false positive rate.
Journal ArticleDOI

The polarity protein Inturned links NPHP4 to Daam1 to control the subapical actin network in multiciliated cells.

TL;DR: Inturned-mediated complex formation of NPHP4 and DAAM1 is important for ciliogenesis and ciliary function in multiciliated cells, presumably because of its requirement for the local rearrangement of actin cytoskeleton.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Rac1 regulator ELMO controls basal body migration and docking in multiciliated cells through interaction with Ezrin

TL;DR: A novel role for ELMO-DOCK1, which is a bipartite guanine nucleotide exchange factor complex for the small GTPase Rac1, and for the membrane-cytoskeletal linker Ezrin, in regulating centriole/basal body migration, docking and spacing is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Correction of inter-scanner and within-subject variance in structural MRI based automated diagnosing.

TL;DR: This work proposes to correct effects of subject-specific covariates as well as effects of scanner by using a non-linear Gaussian process model to improve classification performance, and concludes that models trained on data acquired with a single scanner generalized well to data acquire with a different same-generation scanner even when the vendor differed.
