Further characterisation of the 91500 zircon crystal
Michael Wiedenbeck,John M. Hanchar,William H. Peck,Paul J. Sylvester,John W. Valley,Martin J. Whitehouse,Andreas Kronz,Yuichi Morishita,Lutz Nasdala,Jens Fiebig,Ian A. Franchi,J.-P. Girard,Richard C. Greenwood,R. W. Hinton,Noriko T. Kita,Paul R.D. Mason,Marc D. Norman,M. Ogasawara,Philip M. Piccoli,Dieter Rhede,Hisao Satoh,B. Schulz-Dobrick,Øyvind Skår,Mj. Spicuzza,Kentaro Terada,Andrew G. Tindle,Shigeko Togashi,Torsten Vennemann,Q. Xie,Yong-Fei Zheng +29 more
TL;DR: In this article, the results from a second characterisation of the 91500 zircon, including data from electron probe microanalysis, laser ablation inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometer (LA-ICP-MS), secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS), and laser fluorination analyses, were reported.
Journal Article
Timing of continental building in the Sveconorwegian orogen, SW Scandinavia
Bernard Bingen,Øyvind Skår,M. Marker,Ellen M.O. Sigmond,Ø. Nordgulen,J. Ragnhildsveit,Joakim Mansfeld,Robert D. Tucker,Jean-Paul Liégeois +8 more
TL;DR: The Sveconorwegian orogen of SW Scandinavia represents a truncated and comparatively small segment of the global Grenvillian belt as mentioned in this paper, and it consists of late-Palaeoproterozoic to Mesopropterozoics continental domains reworked during the SveConor Norwegian orogeny and displaced along lithospheric-scale SV shear zones.
Geochronology of high-grade metamorphism in the Sveconorwegian belt, S. Norway: U-Pb, Th-Pb and Re-Os data
Bernard Bingen,William J. Davis,Michael A. Hamilton,Ane K. Engvik,Holly J. Stein,Øyvind Skår,Ø. Nordgulen +6 more
TL;DR: Bingen et al. as mentioned in this paper used metamorphic data to date high-grade metamorphism in the four main lithotectonic units in south Norway, including monazite, zircon and titanite U-Pb data and molybdenite Re-Os.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ilmenite composition in the Tellnes Fe–Ti deposit, SW Norway: fractional crystallization, postcumulus evolution and ilmenite–zircon relation
TL;DR: In this article, major and trace element XRF and in situ LA-ICP-MS analyses of the Tellnes ilmenite deposit, Rogaland Anorthosite Province, SW Norway, constrains a two stage fractional crystallization model of a ferrodioritic Fe-Ti-P rich melt.
Journal ArticleDOI
Formation and evolution of the Høgtuva beryllium deposit, Norway
TL;DR: In the Hogtuvaite tectonic window, Nordland, Norway, this article showed that phenakite has not been mobilised to significant degrees during metamorphism, in spite of the presence of a fluorine-rich fluid, and that the anorthite component in albitic plagioclase, magnetite and possibly clinopyroxene.
