Noise behaviour of the Explorer gravitational wave antenna during λ transition to the superfluid phase

TL;DR: In this paper, the Explorer gravitational wave detector is cooled by a very large superfluid helium bath (1000-2000 I) and exhibits a dramatic drop in noise level, reaching the expected Brownian level, when the liquid helium bath is cooled through the superfluid transition.
Journal Article

GWTC-1: a gravitational-wave transient catalog of compact binary mergers observed by LIGO and Virgo during the first and second observing runs

B. P. Abbott, +1148 more
Journal ArticleDOI

Diving below the spin-down limit: Constraints on gravitational waves from the energetic young pulsar PSR J0537-6910

Richard J. Abbott, +1588 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a search for continuous gravitational-wave signals from the young, energetic X-ray pulsar PSR J0537-6910 using data from the second and third observing runs of LIGO and Virgo.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for subsolar-mass black hole binaries in the second part of Advanced LIGO’s and Advanced Virgo’s third observing run

The Ligo Scientific Collaboration, +1685 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors describe a search for gravitational waves from compact binary black holes with at least one component with mass 0.2 and mass ratio q ≥ 0.1 in Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo data collected between 1 November 2019 and 27 March 2020, 17:00 UTC.
