Theory of double-resonant Raman spectra in graphene: Intensity and line shape of defect-induced and two-phonon bands
TL;DR: In this paper, the double resonant (DR) Raman spectrum of graphene was calculated and the lines associated to both phonon-defect processes and two-phonons ones were determined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Raman spectroscopy as probe of nanometre-scale strain variations in graphene.
Christoph Neumann,Sven Reichardt,Pedro Venezuela,Marc Drögeler,Luca Banszerus,Michael Schmitz,Kenji Watanabe,Takashi Taniguchi,Francesco Mauri,Bernd Beschoten,Slava V. Rotkin,Slava V. Rotkin,Christoph Stampfer,Christoph Stampfer +13 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the observed 2D line width contains valuable information on strain variations in graphene on length scales far below the laser spot size, that is, on the nanometre-scale.

Intralayer and interlayer electron-phonon interactions in twisted graphene heterostructures.
G. S. N. Eliel,Marcus V. O. Moutinho,Marcus V. O. Moutinho,Andreij C. Gadelha,Ariete Righi,Leonardo C. Campos,H. B. Ribeiro,Po-Wen Chiu,Kenji Watanabe,T. Taniguchi,Pascal Puech,Matthieu Paillet,Thierry Michel,Pedro Venezuela,M. A. Pimenta +14 more
TL;DR: The authors use multi-wavelength Raman spectroscopy to probe intra- and inter-layer electron–phonon interactions in twisted graphene heterostructures and their methodology can be extended to study any kind of graphene-based heterostructure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Graphene Moiré patterns observed by umklapp double-resonance Raman scattering
Ariete Righi,Sara Ferreira Dos Santos Costa,Helio Chacham,Cristiano Fantini,Pedro Venezuela,Carl W. Magnuson,Luigi Colombo,Wolfgang Bacsa,Rod Ruoff,Marcos A. Pimenta +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a Raman study of graphene bilayer samples grown by chemical vapor deposition on a copper foil, using laser lines in the UV range, was carried out, and the authors theoretically analyzed the results, introducing the concept of umklapp double-resonance Raman processes associated with reciprocal lattice vectors of the Moir\'e pattern supercells.
