Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of phonon coherence and backscattering using silicon nanomeshes

TL;DR: Phonon coherence is unimportant for thermal transport in silicon nanomeshes with periodicities of 100 nm and higher and temperatures above 14 K, and phonon backscattering, as manifested in the classical size effect, is responsible for the thermal conductivity reduction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cytoprotective metal-organic frameworks for anaerobic bacteria.

TL;DR: This work uniformly wrap Morella thermoacetica bacteria with a metal-organic framework (MOF) monolayer of nanometer thickness for cytoprotection in artificial photosynthesis, which significantly enhances the lifetime of anaerobes in the presence of O2, and maintains the continuous production of acetic acid from CO2.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-Performance Pt─Co Nanoframes for Fuel-Cell Electrocatalysis

TL;DR: This work provides an effective strategy to produce high-performance Pt-Co nanoframes for fuel-cell-related applications and indicates that the weakened binding of intermediate carbonaceous poison contributes to the enhanced MOR activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural, optical, and electrical properties of phase-controlled cesium lead iodide nanowires

TL;DR: In this article, a systematic study of the phase transition of one-dimensional CsPbI3 nanowires and their corresponding structural, optical, and electrical properties is presented.
