Contrasting responses of soil fungal communities and soil respiration to the above‐ and below‐ground plant C inputs in a subtropical forest

TL;DR: The findings suggest that both above‐ and below‐ground plant C are important in regulating soil respiration in subtropical forests, by limiting substrates for soil fungal growth and altering the diversity and composition of the soilfungal community.
Journal ArticleDOI

Entoloma mengsongense sp. nov. (Entolomataceae, Agaricales), a remarkable blue mushroom from Yunnan Province, China

TL;DR: Morphological and molecular phylogenetic differences separate E. mengsongense from all other known species of Entoloma, which is a new species closely related to E. virescens and E. hochstetteri.

- 19 Mar 2022 -
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors applied the high-resolution PacBio sequencing technique to identify fungi based on a long DNA marker that revealed a high proportion of hitherto unknown fungal taxa.
Journal ArticleDOI

Editorial: Fungal Systematics and Biogeography

TL;DR: In this article , the authors proposed a model for mountain futures based on the 3 Setor de Micologia (3SMicologia), a setor of micologia for the development of mountain futures.
