The Effect of a Magnetic Field on the Absorption Coefficient of Ultrasonic Wave in Biocompatible Ferrofluid

TL;DR: In this article, acoustic and magnetic properties of water-based biocompatible fluid MF BSA (bovine serum albumin) are presented, and the changes in the ultrasonic wave absorption coefficient show that MF had a good structural stability up to 100 kA/m.
Journal ArticleDOI

Orientational self-assembly of nanoparticles in nematic droplets

TL;DR: In this paper, the anchoring of a nematic liquid crystal on a solid substrate together with its anchoring on a nanoparticle surface induces orientational self-assembly of anisometric nanoparticles in liquid crystal droplets.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultrasound transmission tomography-guided heating with nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this article , the authors proposed the use of ultrasound transmission tomography (UTT) measurements following ultrasonic heating when using nanomaterials as mediators to study how they affect the UTT imaging through improving the contrast.
Journal ArticleDOI

SAW Investigation of Structural Changes in Oil-Based Magnetic Fluids

TL;DR: In this article, the structural changes in transformer oil-based magnetic fluids under magnetic fields are investigated using surface acoustic waves, and the measurement of attenuation of SAW propagating along the interface between magnetic fluid and substrate is showed as an effective tool to study such processes in the cases when the obviously utilized longitudinal acoustic waves due to the higher viscosity are not available.
