Journal ArticleDOI
Randomized phase III trial (GORTEC 98-03) comparing re-irradiation plus chemotherapy versus methotrexate in patients with recurrent or a second primary head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, treated with a palliative intent
Jacques Tortochaux,Yungan Tao,Elodie Tournay,Michel Lapeyre,François Lesaunier,Etienne Bardet,François Janot,Antoine Lusinchi,Ellen Benhamou,P. Bontemps,Philippe Maingon,Gilles Calais,Nicolas Daly-Schveitzer,Pierre Verrelle,Jean Bourhis +14 more
TL;DR: There was no suggestion that concurrent re-irradiation, fluorouracil and hydroxyurea improved OS compared to methotrexate alone in patients treated with palliative intent for a recurrent or second primary HNSCC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preoperative radiation (Preop RT) in rectal cancer: Effect and timing of additional chemotherapy (CT) 5-year results of the EORTC 22921 trial
J.F. Bosset,Gilles Calais,Laurent Mineur,Philippe Maingon,L. Radosevic-Jelic,Alain Daban,Etienne Bardet,Alexander Beny,Jean-Claude Ollier,Laurence Collette +9 more
TL;DR: A 2 x 2 factorial trial evaluates the addition of CT to preop RT and that of postop CT vs nil on overall survival and progression-free survival in patients with atypical central giant cell granuloma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Online Quality Control, Hyperfractionated Radiotherapy Alone and Reduced Boost Volume for Standard Risk Medulloblastoma: Long-Term Results of MSFOP 98
Christian Carrie,Jacques Grill,Dominique Figarella-Branger,Valérie Bernier,Laetitia Padovani,Jean Louis Habrand,M Benhassel,Martine Mege,Marc Mahé,Philippe Quetin,Jean Philippe Maire,Marie Helene Baron,Pierre Clavere,Sophie Chapet,Philippe Maingon,Claire Alapetite,Line Claude,Anne Laprie,Sophie Dussart +18 more
TL;DR: HFRT protocol with conformal reduced boost and online quality control allows excellent long-term OS and EFS in the absence of chemotherapy, and FSIQ drops seem to be less pronounced than previously reported with standard irradiation regimens.
Journal ArticleDOI
International expert consensus statement regarding radiotherapy treatment options for rectal cancer during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Corrie A.M. Marijnen,Femke P. Peters,Claus Rödel,Krzysztof Bujko,Karin Haustermans,Emmanouil Fokas,Rob Glynne-Jones,V. Valentini,Karen-Lise Garm Spindler,Marianne Grønlie Guren,Philippe Maingon,Felipe A. Calvo,Oriol Pares,Bengt Glimelius,David Sebag-Montefiore +14 more
Journal ArticleDOI
A qualitative and a quantitative analysis of an auto-segmentation module for prostate cancer.
Dominique Huyskens,Philippe Maingon,Luc Vanuytsel,Vincent Remouchamps,Tom Roques,Bernard Dubray,Benjamin Haas,Patrik Kunz,Thomas Coradi,René Bühlman,Robin Reddick,Ann Van Esch,Emile Salamon +12 more
TL;DR: In general, with efficient correction tools at hand, the use of this auto-segmentation module will lead to a time gain for the prostate and the bladder; with the present version of the algorithm, modelling of the rectum still needs improvement.
