Journal ArticleDOI
Human Embryonic Stem Cells Derived by Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer
Masahito Tachibana,Paula Amato,Michelle Sparman,Nuria Marti Gutierrez,Rebecca Tippner-Hedges,Hong Ma,Eunju Kang,Alimujiang Fulati,Hyo Sang Lee,Hathaitip Sritanaudomchai,Keith Masterson,Janine M. Wolf,Shoukhrat Mitalipov,Shoukhrat Mitalipov +25 more
TL;DR: Gene expression and differentiation profiles in human NT-ESCs were similar to embryo-derived ESCs, suggesting efficient reprogramming of somatic cells to a pluripotent state.
Journal ArticleDOI
Towards germline gene therapy of inherited mitochondrial diseases
Masahito Tachibana,Paula Amato,Michelle Sparman,Joy Woodward,Dario Melguizo Sanchis,Hong Ma,Nuria Marti Gutierrez,Rebecca Tippner-Hedges,Eunju Kang,Hyo Sang Lee,Cathy Ramsey,Keith Masterson,David Battaglia,David M. TL;DR: Although some ST oocytes displayed abnormal fertilization, remaining embryos were capable of developing to blastocysts and producing embryonic stem cells similar to controls.
Journal ArticleDOI
The diagnosis and reproductive outcome after surgical treatment of the complete septate uterus, duplicated cervix and vaginal septum.
TL;DR: The identification of a duplicated cervix and a vaginal septum is consistent with several uterine malformations, which leads to frequent misdiagnosis and errors in management, and surgical treatment is therefore advisable.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vascular endothelial growth factor levels in serum and follicular fluid of patients undergoing in vitro fertilization
TL;DR: In patients undergoing IVF, FF VEGF levels at the time of egg retrieval correlated with the degree of follicular luteinization, and there is a significant ovarian contribution to circulating V EGF levels during early gestation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vascular endothelial growth factor production by human luteinized granulosa cells in vitro.
TL;DR: The results suggest that VEGF production by luteinized granulosa cells is enhanced by gonadotrophin (HCG) independent of gonadtrophin-stimulated progesterone synthesis, consistent with the hypothesis that the exacerbation of OHSS in early pregnancy is mediated by the CG stimulation of luteal V EGF production.
