Jiyi Chen,Peiyuan Zhuang,Yuancai Ge,Hang Chu,Luyin Yao,Yudong Cao,Zengyao Wang,Mason Oliver Lam Chee,Pei Dong,Pei Dong,Jianfeng Shen,Mingxin Ye,Pulickel M. Ajayan +12 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Low-Cost, Large-Area, Facile, and Rapid Fabrication of Aligned ZnO Nanowire Device Arrays
Gerard Cadafalch Gazquez,Sidong Lei,Antony George,Hemtej Gullapalli,Bernard A. Boukamp,Pulickel M. Ajayan,Johan E. ten Elshof +6 more
TL;DR: Well aligned nanowires of ZnO have been made with an electrospinning technique using zinc acetate precursor solutions with a high degree of alignment and control over nanowire spacing, and showed good FET characteristics and photosensitivity under UV-illumination.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intraband conductivity response in graphene observed using ultrafast infrared-pump visible-probe spectroscopy
Keshav M. Dani,Keshav M. Dani,Jinho Lee,Rishi Sharma,Rishi Sharma,Aditya D. Mohite,C. M. Galande,Pulickel M. Ajayan,Andrew M. Dattelbaum,Han Htoon,A. J. Taylor,Rohit P. Prasankumar +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the relativistic nature of a nonequilibrium gas of electrons and holes photogenerated in a graphene monolayer was investigated, and the authors observed a nonlinear scaling in the Drude-like optical conductivity of photocarriers with respect to their density, in contrast to the linear scaling expected from conventional materials with parabolic dispersion relations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Solid–Vapor Reaction Growth of Transition-Metal Dichalcogenide Monolayers
Bo Li,Yongji Gong,Zhili Hu,Gustavo Brunetto,Gustavo Brunetto,Yingchao Yang,Gonglan Ye,Zhuhua Zhang,Zhuhua Zhang,Sidong Lei,Zehua Jin,Elisabeth Bianco,Xiang Zhang,Weipeng Wang,Jun Lou,Douglas S. Galvao,Ming Tang,Boris I. Yakobson,Robert Vajtai,Pulickel M. Ajayan +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a systematic study to understand the CVD growth mechanism of monolayer MoSe2, showing reaction pathways for growth from solid and vapor precursors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Surface Tension Components Ratio: An Efficient Parameter for Direct Liquid Phase Exfoliation.
Man Wang,Xiaowei Xu,Yuancai Ge,Pei Dong,Robert Baines,Pulickel M. Ajayan,Mingxin Ye,Jianfeng Shen,Jianfeng Shen +8 more
TL;DR: This work has further greatly enlarged the comprehensive library for the solvent and 2D material matching pairs based on the improved STCM theory and demonstrated the surface tension components ratio to be an effective parameter for screening LPE solvents.
