Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of nitrogen doping on the mechanical properties of carbon nanotubes.

TL;DR: A simple microfabricated device that works in conjunction with a quantitative Nanoindenter within a scanning electron microscope (SEM) chamber, for the in situ quantitative tensile testing of individual catalytically grown pristine and nitrogen-doped multiwall carbon nanotubes was used.
Journal ArticleDOI

Highly aligned scalable platinum-decorated single-wall carbon nanotube arrays for nanoscale electrical interconnects.

TL;DR: Ab initio density functional theory calculations indicate that the increase in conductivity of the nanotubes is caused by an increase in conduction channels close to their Fermi levels due to the platinum nanocluster decoration, with a possible conversion of the semiconducting single-wall carbon nanot tubes into metallic ones.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anisotropic thermal diffusivity of aligned multiwall carbon nanotube arrays

TL;DR: In this article, a photothermoelectric technique was employed to determine the anisotropic thermal diffusivity of thick arrays of multiwalled carbon nanotubes grown by chemical-vapor deposition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Facile Preparation of Ordered Porous Graphene–Metal Oxide@C Binder‐Free Electrodes with High Li Storage Performance

TL;DR: A facile and general method is reported to prepare ordered porous graphene-based binder-free electrodes on a large scale, which allows the easy adjustment of the selected components, weight ratio of componets, and the thickness of the electrodes.
