Achieving Self‐Stiffening and Laser Healing by Interconnecting Graphene Oxide Sheets with Amine‐Functionalized Ovalbumin
Peter Samora Owuor,Thierry Tsafack,Steven Schara,HyeYoon Hwang,Seohui Jung,Rodrigo V. Salvatierra,Tong Li,Sandhya Susarla,Muqing Ren,Bingqing Wei,Robert Vajtai,James M. Tour,Jun Lou,Chandra Sekhar Tiwary,Chandra Sekhar Tiwary,Pulickel M. Ajayan +15 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Vertically aligned conductive carbon nanotube junctions and arrays for device applications
TL;DR: In this article, a potential barrier was found to exist between the sensing tip and nanotube, resulting in nonlinear current-voltage characteristics, and low-resistance contact was formed by breaking down this barrier, once the circuit was stressed beyond 1.5
Journal ArticleDOI
Gas-Phase Fluorination of Hexagonal Boron Nitride.
Ashokkumar Meiyazhagan,Peter Serles,Devashish Salpekar,Eliezer Fernando Oliveira,Eliezer Fernando Oliveira,Lawrence B. Alemany,Riqiang Fu,Guanhui Gao,Taib Arif,Robert Vajtai,Venkataraman Swaminathan,Douglas S. Galvao,Valery N. Khabashesku,Tobin Filleter,Pulickel M. Ajayan +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple, scalable strategy to fluorinate hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) using a direct gas-phase fluorination technique is reported, and the nature of fluorine bonding to the hBN lattice and their chemical coordination are described based on various characterization studies and theoretical models.

Two-dimensional Cobalt Telluride as Piezo-tribogenerator
Kamanio Chattopadhyay,Solomon Demiss,Raphael M. Tromer,Chinmayee Chowde Gowda,Olu Emmanuel Femi,Ajit K. Roy,Prafull Pandey,Douglas S. Galvao,Partha Kumbhakar,Pulickel M. Ajayan,Chandra Sekhar Tiwary +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a 2D piezo-triboelectric nanogenerator (PTNG) was used to generate electricity using waste heat from various thermal sources and dissipated heat from electronic devices.
Journal ArticleDOI
Self-networking of carbon nanotubes.
TL;DR: Carbon nanotube self-assembly into honeycomb-networks via controlling the ratio of the catalyst over hydrocarbon in the vapor phase using a tunable chemical vapor deposition process.
