Journal ArticleDOI
Hexagonal Boron Nitride for Sulfur Corrosion Inhibition.
Govinda Chilkoor,Kalimuthu Jawaharraj,Bhuvan Vemuri,Alex Kutana,Manoj Tripathi,Divya Kota,Taib Arif,Tobin Filleter,Alan B. Dalton,Boris I. Yakobson,M. Meyyappan,Muhammad M. Rahman,Pulickel M. Ajayan,Venkataramana Gadhamshetty +13 more
TL;DR: It is reported that atomically thin layers of hexagonal boron nitride act as a protective coating to inhibit corrosion of the underlying copper surfaces in abiotic and biotic environments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Valley trion dynamics in monolayer MoSe 2
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopy to study the valley trion dynamics in a monolayer grown by using chemical vapor deposition and found that trion decay becomes slower as the excitation density increases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rational Design of Oxygen-Enriched Carbon Dots with Efficient Room-Temperature Phosphorescent Properties and High-Tech Security Protection Application
Yu Han,Ming Li,Jiawei Lai,Weitao Li,Yijian Liu,Luqiao Yin,Lianqiao Yang,Xiaogang Xue,Robert Vajtai,Pulickel M. Ajayan,Liang Wang,Liang Wang +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, room-temperature phosphorescent (RTP) carbon dots (CDs) have been fascinated by a lot of scholars because of their stable triplet excited states and environmental friendliness.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ternary CuIn7Se11 : towards ultra-thin layered photodetectors and photovoltaic devices.
Sidong Lei,Ali Sobhani,Fangfang Wen,Antony George,Qizhong Wang,Yihan Huang,Pei Dong,Bo Li,Sina Najmaei,James Bellah,Gautam Gupta,Aditya D. Mohite,Liehui Ge,Jun Lou,Naomi J. Halas,Robert Vajtai,Pulickel M. Ajayan +16 more
TL;DR: Few-layered ternary Cu-In-Se compound has a strong photoresponse and the potential to serve as the active medium in ultra-thin photovoltaic devices.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of ultralow density 3D graphene–CNT foams using a two-step method
Soumya Vinod,Chandra Sekhar Tiwary,Leonardo D. Machado,Leonardo D. Machado,Sehmus Ozden,Robert Vajtai,Douglas S. Galvao,Pulickel M. Ajayan +7 more
TL;DR: The simulations showed that mechanical failure is directly associated with bending of vertical reinforcements, and that, for similar length and contact area, much more stress is required to bend the corresponding reinforcements of carbon nanotubes, thus explaining the experimentally observed enhanced mechanical properties.
