Functionalization of carbon nanotubes using phenosafranin.

TL;DR: Spectroscopic analysis and atomic force microscopy phase imaging studies show self-assembly of phenosafranin to multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) and the shift in absorption spectra is associated with charge transfer of valence electrons from PSF to electron accepting sites on the MWNTs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interphase Induced Dynamic Self-Stiffening in Graphene-Based Polydimethylsiloxane Nanocomposites.

TL;DR: Graphene-based polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) nanocomposite, a chemically and physically cross-linked system, exhibits an increase in the storage modulus under low-frequency, low-amplitude dynamic compressive loading.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ambient solid-state mechano-chemical reactions between functionalized carbon nanotubes

TL;DR: An ambient mechano-chemical reaction between two varieties of nanotubes, carrying predominantly carboxyl and hydroxyl functionalities, respectively, facilitated by simple mechanical grinding of the reactants is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

3D Band Diagram and Photoexcitation of 2D–3D Semiconductor Heterojunctions

TL;DR: A new 3D band diagram is proposed for the heterojunction formed between n-type monolayer MoS2 and p-type Si, in which the conduction and valence band-edges of theMoS2 monolayers are drawn for both stacked and in-plane directions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Temperature dependent Raman and photoluminescence of vertical WS2/MoS2 monolayer heterostructures

TL;DR: In this paper, the temperature dependent Raman and photoluminescence spectra in vertical stacked WS2/MoS2 monolayer heterostructures were investigated.
